Thesis discoveries can be found in the most unlikely of places. The following compositions were extracted from photographs taken in transit, showcasing the design of necessity. I see sophistication and irony embedded in these haphazard compositions of barriers, familiar building components, and connecting elements. In these arrangements, one will find fragments of the familiar bound together in an explicit mission of purpose. Characteristics like color, utility, and weight are placed center stage, in favor of traditional values of ornament, form, and aesthetic.
